The modified rig.
Wow now I know why I have been getting comments about a blog update been required- nearly a month has past since the last. How time flies!!
Well after 6weeks in Morisset we hit the road again- leaving behind my Aunts great cooking and the families great hospitality.
We spent a few relaxing days at Umina on the Central coast. Beaut beaches and some nice storms too. Did I mention we brought bikes? Yes these two not so grey nomads have been greatly enjoying biking. At Umina we spent two days biking around the coast, cycling to get the groceries with our little basket on board- very enviromentally friendly by our standards.
From Umina we travelled through Sydney to Shellharbour (20mins south of Wollongong). Nestled between Lake Illawarra and the beach this has been a nice place.
I (Naomi) have had 2.5weeks work at our lab here whilst Neil has been a great house husband cooking and cleaning for me :)- I could get used to this !
We have been fishing- though I think even Neil's endless patience has worn out after I have caught nothing and he has caught many small brim and a mullet- none edible.
On the weekend we took the Grand Pacific drive- which heads back towards Sydney along the coast, crossed the Sea cliff bridge (which is a stretch of road that winds around the cliffs hanging out over the water). We had a great picnic at Stanwell tops and enjoyed the Thiroul Art festival..
We are heading towards Canberra- though in typical Gen Y spontainaity we didnt book any accommodation over Easter and Canberra is booked out- so we hope to free camp around the traps between here and Canberra and then head into Canberra once accomodation becomes available.
We are booked for Tassie on the 23rd April for a month so the next few weeks until we sail from Melbourne will be spent in Canberra and meandering south through Victoria.
Thats all the news for now. We would love to hear from you and hear your news as time permits.
Love Neil and Nay
